Sounds better than my $50 banjo. Maple neck gives the wound string a
nice crisp twang. Im a begginer so I'll just guess a sound rating. Not as loud as I expected.

Apart from the see through head ( only for show I guess) its very
good. The neck Is great. (Other banjos at the same price had string height way too high up the neck). Only had to tighten the head up a bit.

Beautifull neck. Nice inlays. Great looking finish on the back of the neck
The carved heal sort of looks a bit tacky & plasticky.
Gold plating everywhere. This banjo was new but sat unsold in the shop about 3 years. The gold/brass finish is starting to tarnish. The tuners have a cheap look to them(gold plated & creamy plastic knob).
The shell has a think black coating:what are they trying to hide??
The tarnishing brass & gold actually gives it a better look
Overall very nice compared to say an Electric Gat of the same price.

The hooks that hold down the tension hoop arnt long enougth and only go half way into the nuts.I may have to locktite them to stop them coming loose.Nice neck.Clamshell Tailpiece seems quite thick & strong.

Looking at a Samick & an Epihone next to each other it was obvious they are both made by the same company. These were the only choices availble locally. I got it at a discount due to it being unsold for about 3 years. Still far too expensive in NZ.
Very pretty looking.
