This is my version of the Buck Owens' popular instrumental, "Buckaroo." I put this arrangement together in response to a request from my Banjo Hangout Buddy, "Lumpy." My favorite bass player, my wife Lynn, is on bass and I'm on banjo and guitar. I hope you enjoy it, Lumpy!

Hey Bill, Honestly if I could play half as well as you and your wife play man I would be in heaven. I really like your Buckaroo song, I listen to it everyday well till for some reason I havent been able to listen to it on my media player, I had it saved and it would stream from here to my player and now it wont. I wish I had your songs on CD, maybe one day I hope. I have a Bean Blossom BB250 I got for Xmas of 2006 and I try I really do but seems to be if Im not listening to your music I cant do it right, but I wont give up, Im 54 and the old hands are really working better and stretching to make those notes, So PLEASE KEEP IT UP !!! Think you could do some videos for us stubborn people ??? Thanks Dave

Great job on that tune. I was playing keyboards with some guys at the Senior Home the other day and the guitar player did Buckaroo. I figured that would be a fun song on the banjo, did a music search and there was your fine version. Gonna work on this tune for sure.

Howdy, Dave Stran! Thanks for the nice comment on "Buckaroo." Yep, my fingers don't go where and when I want them to anymore, but it's fun trying! :^) I'm not too savvyj on video stuff, but if I figure it out, I'll give it a try.

Hey-who woulda' thunk to play that Great tune on a Banjo??? I play it on the Guitar, but did u take note of the part on the original recording-that the Steel did? I also incorporate It's' part into the tune, which is a part all it's Own. For the Heck of it, go back in sometime at home, and try it out-it's FUN, and in keeping with the Orig. in it's entirety! 8 )
