Carl's a great OT banjar player/singer. He also plays guitar (has a great old Gibson archtop), dulcimer, and autoharp. His wife (in the photo) passed away in 11/2011. He still comes to Cades Cove and plays with some other local musicians, and we try to encourage visitors to play along with us if they have their instruments. He is usually there in spring and fall. Join us sometime!
