Well, after 4 years of trying to get this cat string over a drumhead thing right, I finally may have a grasp on things.. I feel confident to sit down with some people who I don't know, never met, don't know their songs and can manage my way through the song, with a break.. 4 years ago I would have laughed at you.
Raccoon Creek BGF was a fun time for everyone I believe. Plenty of campsite picking, great bands and great fellowship. We all have a love. Bluegrass music. an industry where it's ok to say "I can't do that" and noone thinks any less of you. Last night after 6 hours of jamming, I had to play Foggy Mountain Breakdown and I shuddered "I've never done that at speed before" - I guess the one that was dancing didn't care. As Joe Bonsall told me "I've been breaking through of late" I might agree at this time.
Stay tuned.
