New Web Site

Posted by Pickin-N-KC on Tuesday, May 14, 2019

My last Blog post from 2014, I introduced a new ebook.  I have now put the information from that ebook on my new FREE site  https://online-banjolessons.com. There is a new video explaining the music format on this page https://online-banjolessons.com/song-list.

Something new I've added since the ebook is melody tracks.  These are great to practice your rolls and backup. They range in beats-per-minute from 60 to 120, so you can practice at your own speed.  These melody tracks can also help beginners that have a hard time hearing the melody when they play a break. Play your melody break along with the melody tracks and it will help you identify and accentuate the melody in your playing. Give it a try! Of course, there are also regular backing tracks to practice your lead breaks with the same bpm range.

If your interested in learning to create your own breaks based on the melody notes, check out the video on my blog page https://online-banjolessons.com/my-blog.  On the Song LIst Page, you can download for free the melody notes for all 40 songs in TEF format.

I will be adding a lot of free videos on this site in the near future including beginning lessons with milestones.

So, check it out and let me know what you think!
