Sound

Finger picks and clawhammer, it works for both. The sound can be deep and rich or bright. It can play soft or loud. What ever I want.

Setup

I've played many banjos, none come close to the playability of this one. The setup needs no alteration.

Appearance

Absolutely stunning. Mahogany neck and rim with rosewood tone ring. Starry night inlay modified with a shooting star at the scoop.
The craftsmanship is flawless throughout.

Reliability

I really can't see why this banjo shouldn't last 100 years.
There's nothing wrong with my other banjos, but if I needed a back up it would have to be another Romero, if only because of the fingerboard.

Customer Service

Jason was more than helpful at all times. Limited lifetime warranty.

Components

The Gotoh tuners are the best I've ever used, not that the banjo goes out of tune. Everything is first class including the case.

Overall Comments

I'd say that I received very good value for the money, so I'd recommend Romero banjos and have done so. If it was stolen, I'd buy another, which I'm going to do anyway.

Other than the extraordinary dynamics of the banjo, the playability of the instrument is the outstanding feature.
