Sound

This banjo has an amazing sound, it can go from sweet and mellow to a growling bass tone and everything in between. The Tradesman has exactly the clawhammer sound that I've been searching for, I can't put it down. The only bad point is that I've started taking it to work with me and its costing me in lost earnings ! ! !

Setup

The Enoch Tradesman has quite a high action which is fine by me as I like my banjos this way, don't be put off by this as you will soon get used to it

Appearance

The Tradesman looks superb. Like its name suggests it isn't wearing fancy clothes, its hear to do a job, it looks lean and mean. I've got the walnut model which has a lovely grain, I love the plain peg head, the Dobson style heel and the hex dowel. The black pot goes well with the wood and chrome work ( which has a deep lustre )

Reliability

I've only had it for a short time so I cant really comment but it feels like it would survive a train crash

Customer Service

I emailed Kevin about buying a Tradesman and he put me onto Elderly instruments as they are better equipped to ship to the UK. I ordered over the Internet on Saturday night and it arrived at my door on Tuesday, I'm impressed ! The Enoch Tradesman comes with a lifetime warranty which I'm sure I wont need.

Components

The renaissance head looks and sounds fantastic, the No Knot tail piece works well and the brackets and hoop look good quality. The Gotoh tuners work OK ( the black buttons look good ) and I like the medium ? strings I wont be changing anything on the Tradesman.

I'm over the moon with the Enoch Tradesman, I can't believe what you get for your money, you even get a decent gig bag thrown in. I would highly recommend this banjo. If it got stolen i would make it my lifes work to find the thief. I must thank Banjo Hangout members for steering me to the Enoch Tradesman via the revues

Marriage on the rocks, girlfriend's going to leave you, neighbours hate you, then look no further than Mikes Mute to alleviate the problem. Well made, easy to fit and will not fall off, brilliant for late night practice.
