Sound

frailing /early 3 finger style Classic fretless nylon string sound
This banjo is like none I've ever played before.Reminds me of the difference between a classical guitar and a steel string guitar, except that it's fretless. Definitley like comparing apples and oranges (openback vs. resonator) Like it very much.

Setup

setup (placing the bridge ) was easy but he sent 3 bridges to try out
and i liked the lower one best-action closer to neck .

Appearance

Maple neck with rose wood tailpiece and rosewood stopper inside head
Oak rim and brass tackheads holding calf skin top. The joints on the 3 ply rim are barely visible- great woodwork. He placed 12 "fret" markers (rosewood stripes ) flush in the neck, for a minimal extra fee-sets off the maple nicely.
