I changed the tuning from G to F. I like the sound better. It has a more mellow tone, as one would expect from a lower key. Seems a llittle easier to play, as I would expect it to be with less tension on the strings,. My question is, "WILL THIS DAMAGE MY BANJO IN ANY WAY?" I haven't had any trouble with this banjo. It is lightweight and is well worth the price. Sound Rating 8 Setup Setup when purchased. Have replaced tailpiece with a quality clamshell tailpiece and replaced bridge. Setup Rating 9 Appearance No flaws Appearance Rating 8 Reliability Has been reliable. Reliability Rating 9 Customer Service Haven't needed to deal with the company Customer Service 9 Components Would recommend replacing the tailpiece with Goldtones straight line, or a clamshell.
