Suwannee Old Time Music Weekend

December 5-7, 2008. 

A great weekend of old time music workshops, concerts and jams on the banks of the beautiful and historic Suwannee River. Classes in fiddle, banjo, guitar and vocals. Special guests The Haywire Gang; Mac Benford, Paula Bradley, & John Hoffmann will teach advanced classes. Florida favorites Chuck Levy, Chuck Anton, Fay Baird, and Lloyd Baldwin cover beginning and intermediate classes.                                                                                                                       Florida Masters Concert on Friday night, featuring original New Lost City Rambler Tom Paley and George Gibson, a Florida resident who grew up steeped in the banjo tradition of Knott Co. KY.  Saturday Evening Instructor's Showcase Concert.  Post concert jams at the historic Telford Hotel in White Springs.
